Advising

Design for Need offers a form of consultancy through our activity of ‘Advising’. Here as experts in sustainable design for international development, we will teach, collaborate and raise awareness. Organisations that would be interested in these services can range from individuals, educational institutes, charities and/or companies who wish to branch out into wider markets. We are non-profit organisation but what we offer is a paid service, all profits made will be used to facilitate project work. By filling in a contact form detailing your circumstances and your interest in the service, we will respond with a quote and further details on what we can offer you.

Sustainable design in international development is an emerging field which is attracting a lot of interest. By studying this field of design and gaining a first-hand skilled understanding how the process should implemented around the world to challenge poverty, we have learnt one simple thing; it is not simple. Sustainable design for international development is very unique and must be achieved respectfully in accordance to a specific criteria tailored to the communities that truly need help. This takes a holistic approach in dealing with the community as whole, recognising, social, political, economic, environmental and cultural factors which are extremely varied from community to community.

Information on our ‘Advising’ service:

• Receive expert advice from sustainable designer and co-founder of Design for Need, Matt McClumpha.

• Receive theoretical and/or practical experience of sustainable design. (depending on your personal preference).  

• Collaborate with future Design for Need projects, or projects of your own.

• Help support us by raising funds for project work and awareness.

• Be a part of the Design for Need ‘Community’ to be updated on the progression and development of the business.

• Flexibility on how you would like to receive the service (in person*, over skype, over the phone) *The ‘in person’ service however, is reserved for UK based clients only.
